Age category: 10 to 14 years

The competition is held in two rounds.

Round 1

• Folk dance based on the folklore of one’s own country
• Story-based dance based on folk choreography
• Closeness to the original folklore source is welcomed

Total duration: up to 10 minutes.

Half of the teams advance to Round 2 (minimum 4, maximum 8).

Round 2

• Best dance of Round 1 (jury’s decision)
• Dance of the group’s choice not presented in Round 1
• Closeness to the original folklore source is welcomed

Total duration: up to 10 minutes.

*Competition groups: 8–32 participants; up to 2 participants aged 15 allowed depending on group size.

Main evaluation criteria: performing skill, originality, conformity to national character, color and characteristics of the country/region, artistic image and idea disclosure.
